D9 welcomes Motley!

While D9 is full -- overflowing, actually! -- we are happy to welcome Motley into rescue. Motley is a medium-sized mix breed girl who we don't have a whole lot of information about yet. One of our wonderful fosters found this girl by the Press Street train tracks last night. We located her former owner who was no longer able to care for her. So -- now we are pleased to introduce Motley!

We will post updates about Motley as we find out more. She is definitely a young, sweet girl who plays well with others. We should be finding out more about her health and breed soon.

Happily, a Lower 9 resident has stepped up to foster Motley. We are still, however, in desperate need of fosters (Mia and Slim are still homeless!), so if you have ever wanted the joys of caring for a dog without the financial responsibility, please get in touch! kellygaus@gmail.com

Please contact us about Motley. Motley will be available for adoption after she's been fully vetted.

Motley plays with her foster brother, Eli the Cocker Spaniel.

Motley checks out the snoozing Basil, a fellow 9th Ward dog looking for a home.
