a busy month at D9

September has seen D9 take in 7 new dogs: the 6 9th Ward pups and the Lady Motley.

At the end of September and throughout October, we'll be really stepping up our adoption/outreach efforts. Please mark your calendars for these fun events, come out, and show your support for D9!
  • Saturday, September 26, from 3pm-6pm: "Meet the adoptables" at Cabrini Park in the French Quarter! This will be lots of fun with free cold drinks for all and lots of puppy love. Please stop by the say hello and mee tthe wiggly, adorable 9th Ward pups! Cabrini is at the corner of Dauphine and Barracks
  • Saturday, Oct 3, from 12noon-5pm: D9 will be at the Freret Market! Meet our amazing adoptable dogs, shop for unique items and tasty food, and enjoy live music! This is a neighborhood market that is a real community effort. At the corner of Freret and Jena Streets (see www.freretmarket.org)
  • Saturday, Oct 17, from 9am-4pm: D9 will be representing the 9th Ward at the Bywater BARK Market! The art market/adoption day will feature tons of adoptables, and proceeds go to the SPCA heartworm treatment fund. We're really excited to be included and hope to see you there. In Mickey Markey Park, corner of Royal and Piety in the Bywater area of the 9th Ward.
  • Saturday, Oct 24, from 4pm-8pm: BARKtober Fest at Canine Connection! We will have some adoptable dogs with us and lots of information and even some giveaways; plus this fun event will feature a Canine Costume Contest and Trick or Treating for Dogs. This event will take place at Canine Connection at 4920 Tchoupitoulas Street.
