So, there are still five amazing 9th Ward dogs looking for love. With a German Shepherd (Scout), a hound (Basil), a beagle mix pup (Bart), a lab/pit/?? mix (Mia), and a flat coated retriever mix (Slim), we have pretty much a dog for everyone. Our dogs are:
- from medium to large (30 pounds to 70 pounds)
- male and female (currently 4 males and 1 female)
- energetic (Bart!) and lazy (Basil!) and everything in between
- friendly with people and dogs
- 100% fully vetted: vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and checked
oh dear, that is too bad for all involved. Three days seems a very short time.....
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Scout's new home???
ReplyDeleteScout seemed to show some *very* unexpected and out of character resource guarding behavior -- surprised everyone since he's *never* done that before, despite living in multi-dog households his entire life. I suspect the problem may have been that he was in a household were he may have, for the first time ever, been the dominant dog (perhaps the dominant being) in the house. But it was sad and unexpected. We're evaluating things now, but back in foster, he's showing none of it.
