one adoption! updates on Ryda and the other D9 dogs

Our second to last little girl, Charlie, went to a wonderful forever home on Monday evening! We're very excited for her. Above, she is cuddling with her new big buddy, Blanks. She is doing very well in her new home, and we're happy to see it.

Now our only remaining puppy from our litter of 6 is Andi, a sweet, shy little girl. Andi was very sad the first night her sister was gone, but now has adjusted and is bonding with her bigger foster friends. Andi will be at our upcoming adoption day on Saturday, and we certainly hope she'll find her forever home!

Ryda the Rottweiler and Pauline the pit bull

In other news, Ryda is doing very well. He's really coming out of his shell and becoming much more confident and less afraid of humans. He usually comes up to me happily and has stopped cringing most of the time. Ryda has also been hanging out with Slim so much he's become a retriever. He's very good at it, too! Now that he's put on a bit of much-needed weight, he's really become a strong, athletic boy -- and stunningly beautiful. He loves to prance around the yard, and it's a joy to watch.

Ryda is learning to walk on leashes, starting on obedience, and also is doing very well at crate training. He is progressing well on house training too. He also rides nicely in the car. In no time this boy is going to become an amazing dog!

Bart strikes a lovely autumn pose.

All the other D9 dogs are doing well. Scout and Basil are finishing up heartworm treatment; soon they'll be good as new! Slim and the Lady Motley are working on their manners and obedience. Meanwhile, Bart had a fall photoshoot, as you can see above. He has really grown into a beautiful, gentle boy.
