News flash! Well, news flashes, actually.

On Saturday, August 8th, we will have our first ever "meet the 9th Ward dogs" event! This will take place from 1pm-6pm at Cabrini Park in the French Quarter (corner of Dauphine and Barracks streets, 70116). All currently available 9th Ward dogs will be in attendance, and applications will be available (please note that as vet checks and home checks are required, no dogs will go home immediately), and donations will be gladly accepted, of course!! In addition, some D9 merchandise will be available for sale, and Pauline will be meeting her public! Please email me at kellygaus@gmail.com for more info.

Also, on Sunday, August 16th, we will be at New Orleans Dog Nanny celebrating the Feast of St. Roch, patron saint of dogs! Dog wash, dog portraits, and food and drink highlight the fun event, plus adoptable 9th Ward dogs will be there. Proceeds go to D9, with grateful thanks given to New Orleans Dog Nanny -- New Orleans' premier, cage-free dog day care and boarding facility! They also offer grooming, training, and other services. We hope to see all our friends at both of these great events!
